The 1st menu option from the Messages ribbon is ‘Instant Messaging’. A Contivio.com ‘Instant Message’ session has the following display:
  • The header contains a drop-down list of users you can send an ‘Instant Message’ to.  You have the option to broadcast a message to ‘All’ users or to a selective few.
  • The body is where you type your message or reply.  The blue paper airplane icon is the ‘Send’ button.  Hitting the ‘Enter’ button on your keyboard will not send your ‘Instant Message’.
  • The footer displays the ‘Instant Message’ history.  Displayed from left to right find the media icon, the media direction, the date/time stamp, the contact, and the message (typically wrapped to the next line).  To the right of the message history is a red icon which clears all messages.
